She is lured back to the open plains by her boyfriend Javi to test a groundbreaking new tracking system. There she meets Tyler Owens (Glenn Powell), the charming and overconfident social media superstar who chases tornadoes with his rather clumsy teammates and enjoys posting his adventures online: the more dangerous the better.
