Animal Collective will be reissuing their groundbreaking debut album, Spirit They’re Gone, Spirit They’ve Vanished with Domino on 12th May! Originally self-released in 2000 on CD credited as a release by Avey Tare & Panda Bear, it is long out of print.
AC’s grasp of pop hooks and dynamics counterbalance a love of noise, friction and musical anarchy; their songs treading the tightrope between deeply affecting beauty and unrestrained chaos.
