Ginger Root, the project of Southern California multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Cameron Lew, is a captivating blend of synth-pop, alt-disco, boogie, and soul. Since 2017, Lew has meticulously crafted this project, merging sound and sight into an all-encompassing experience. Drawing inspiration from 1970s and ’80s music, particularly the dialogue between Japanese City Pop and Western genres, Lew creates a retro yet modern sound.
His upcoming album Shinbagumi, set for release in 2024, marks a new chapter, showcasing his growth as an artist.
