Highwaymen, The: Live At Nassau Coliseum
Thirty-one years ago, country music legends and dear friends Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson joined forces as the supergroup The Highwaymen. Frequently referred to as “the Mount Rushmore of country music,” The Highwaymen were American country music’s first bona fide supergroup, an epic quartet comprised of the outlaw country genre’s pioneering stars.
After their first two studio albums, and a sold-out tour of the US, The Highwaymen performed one of their biggest shows at Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, New York, on March 14, 1990.
‘The Highwaymen Live At Nassau Coliseum’ is the previously unreleased full-length concert film recorded live, and has been transferred and remastered from the original film reels especially for this collection.
As an additional feature for the Australian Only release, the ‘Live At Nassau Coliseum Dvd’ has been packaged with a newly-curated collection of The Highwaymen’s biggest hits, ‘The Very Best of The Highwaymen.’
‘The Very Best Of The Highwaymen’ contains the group’s best known songs plus a previously unreleased cover of Bob Dylan’s “One Too Many Morning” and “Big River,” from the new ‘The Highwaymen Live American Outlaws’ release.
