Tank, The
In this creepy feature written and directed by New Zealand filmmaker Scott Walker, Californian couple Ben (Matt Whelan) and Jules (Luciane Buchanan) are juggling running a struggling pet shop, attending veterinary school and raising their young daughter Reia (Zara Nausbaum). When Ben’s mother passes away, she leaves the family a property on the Oregon coast that’s been untouched for four decades – and it could be the solution to their financial problems. Packing up their lives, the family head for the peace and quiet of the secluded beachfront home, but it becomes quickly apparent that there are secrets waiting that might be better left uncovered. Things found around the house hint at a dark family history, and when Ben starts fixing an underground water tank in the yard, it seems something ancient (and terrifying) may already call the property home.
