Time Will Wait For No One is Local Natives 5th studio album and includes standout singles NYE, Just Before The Morning, and Desert Snow. The album was recorded over the course of 2 years in Los Angeles by Local Natives and producer John Congelton (Angel Olsen, Death Cab For Cutie, St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, Wallows) with additional production and contribution from Michael Harris and Danny Reisch. Our album begins with the ambient sound of Kelcey, Ryan and Taylor outside in the backyard of a Los Angeles studio singing these words together huddled around a single microphone. Suddenly, the song kicks in with the full fidelity of the entire band, repeating the lyrics like a mantra of reassurance. Time flows on uncontrollably and change is relentless, and the people you love are the only constants. This album was made during a time of metamorphosis for us. Former selves melting away as some of us became fathers. We endured periods of isolation, loss, and identity crisis. We grew and changed as individuals, but we found our way back to each other and made music that we can only make together.
