Johnny Hunter are a four-piece post-punk band from Sydney, Australia consisting of Nick Hutt (vocals), Xander Burgess (guitar), Nick Cerone (bass) and Gerry Thompson (drums).
Formed in 2018 and signed to Cooking Vinyl Australia December 2021.
When a band like Johnny Hunter delivers new music, there is a reason heads turn with fiery, menacing energy driving each release. Working alongside audio engineer Adam Greenspan for (IDLES, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), their music is a rendezvous between Joy Division, Sonic Youth and Bauhaus.
