Lost In The Dream
The third album from Philadelphia outfit The War on Drugs. With Adam Granduciel (vocals, guitar) at the helm, ‘Lost In The Dream’ further explores themes set out on their critically acclaimed second studio album ‘Slave Ambient’.
Written and recorded following extensive touring and a period of loneliness and depression for primary songwriter Granduciel, the album’s core is Americana heavbily indebted to the 1980s heartland rock of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, and Bob Dylan, doused in TWAD’s take on Spacemen 3’s propulsive psychedelic meanderings. With a slicker more wide screen take on the band’s previous albums, ‘Lost In The Dream’ comes across as the ultimate synthesis of the band’s sound
